Making a complaint
Email info@gcsb.uk with the subject "Complaint", or use the contact form. Tell us what happened, when, and what outcome you are looking for.
- We acknowledge complaints within 5 working days.
- We aim to give a full response within 20 working days, or tell you why more time is needed.
- Complaints are handled by someone who was not involved in the matter.
Appealing a decision
You can appeal an unsuccessful application, award, renewal, suspension or withdrawal within 30 days of the decision. Explain why you believe the decision was wrong and include any supporting evidence.
Appeals are heard by the Ethics, Conduct & Appeals Committee. Members who took part in the original decision do not hear the appeal. The Committee's decision is final within GCSB.
Journal decisions
Authors can appeal editorial decisions under the Journal policies.
Data protection complaints
You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
