GCSB-Registered External Auditor (GCSB-EA)

GCSB-Registered External Auditors are independent professionals - not part of GCSB or Converged Security Institute - who review an organisation's evidence against the GCSB CSF Version 2.0 standards before Organisational Trustmark assessment. Auditors are engaged and paid directly by client organisations at their own rates. GCSB registers, verifies and oversees auditors; tier and certification decisions remain with the independent GCSB Assessment Board.

Verified by GCSB

Registration principles

  • Independent of GCSB and CSI
  • Assessment Board registration
  • Public GCSB-EA register
  • Conflict-of-interest step-aside
  • Annual registration and CPD
  • Clients pay auditors directly

Why join the register

A steady source of client work

Every Organisational Trustmark applicant needs an independent evidence review by a GCSB-Registered External Auditor. You agree your fee directly with the organisation; GCSB takes no commission.

The register is your shop window

Applicants choose their auditor from the public GCSB-EA register, with your name, number, country and verification link.

Independent, verifiable standing

A GCSB-EA number shows clients you meet published requirements, declare your interests and follow the GCSB conduct code.

Founding-auditor offer

The £195 application fee is waived for the first 10 approved auditors.

Limited places. All requirements, the interview and the £295 annual registration still apply.

GCSB Trustmark Award - designation GCSB-EA

  • Converged Security Institute (CSI) is the professional development and qualification body.
  • Global Converged Security Board (GCSB) is the independent standards, credentialing, accreditation and recognition authority.
  • GCSB Trustmark Awards are awarded only to individuals who have demonstrated achievement beyond qualification attainment and membership eligibility.

Trustmark Awards are professional distinctions. They are separate from qualifications, memberships and accreditations.

Eligibility

Individuals only. At least 5 years in security, audit, assurance or risk, a CCSO-level or equivalent recognised audit credential, and no role with GCSB or Converged Security Institute.
