What each credential means

The four kinds of GCSB recognition

Qualifications

Assessed professional qualifications in converged security with GCSB Academic Credits. The certificate names the qualification and level.

Membership grades

Show professional standing and experience. Members keep their grade by completing CPD and renewing on time.

Individual Trustmark Awards

Recognise senior contribution to the profession, such as FGCSB and DFGCSB. They are awards, not memberships, and are given only to people who meet published criteria.

Organisational Trustmark

Certifies an organisation's converged security practice at a tier set by the Assessment Board from evidence reviewed by an independent auditor. Valid for 12 months.

GCSB is a certification and standards body; it does not provide training, consulting or audit services. Rules for using GCSB marks: Certificate, Badge & Trustmark Use. Suspected misuse: info@gcsb.uk.
