Certificate, Badge & Trustmark Use

Last updated: 15 October 2026

Who may use GCSB marks

Only people and organisations whose record appears as valid on the Public Register may display a GCSB certificate, badge, post-nominal letters or Trustmark. Each mark may be used only for the award actually held.

How to display them

  • Use the official files from your portal badge kit without changing colours, wording or proportions.
  • Link the badge to your verification page where possible.
  • An individual award belongs to the person, not their employer. An organisation may only display an Organisational Trustmark it holds itself.
  • Do not suggest that GCSB endorses a product, service, training course or audit.

Expiry, suspension and withdrawal

When a record expires, is suspended or is withdrawn, you must stop displaying the related marks straight away and remove them from websites, profiles and documents. The Public Register shows the current status of every record.

Misuse

Misuse may lead to suspension or withdrawal under the Board's conduct procedures and, where necessary, legal action. GCSB names and marks are protected. Report suspected misuse to info@gcsb.uk.
